What a TSH of 0.1 means
This sits well under the bottom of the reference range but not at the floor of the assay. When thyroid hormone itself is still normal, this is subclinical hyperthyroidism — the pituitary has backed off, yet output has not obviously overshot.
The practical question at this level is whether the picture is stable. A fair proportion of mildly suppressed readings drift back into range on their own, so the sequence of results usually matters more than the first one.

- Early or mild hyperthyroidism, often from a small autonomous nodule
- Slightly generous thyroid replacement — very common in treated patients
